I Can't Do This Series - I Can't Do This -- by Ruby

Rating: PG

Description: Willow gets a little encouragement from a friend.

Note: Dedication -- To all the W/A shippers who sent me such great feedback on my last series of sequels. This is rather a short taste. Let me know if you want more!

"I can't do this," Willow thought to herself as she reached for the door leading into the Bronze.

She looked down at herself as if she were looking at a stranger. The dress wasn't her. She couldn't believe she'd actually let the shop clerk talk her into something way too short and way too strapless.

"I can't do this," she whispered.

"Can't do what?" a familiar voice asked from over her shoulder.

She turned to face the man behind her. Angel's eyes dropped from Willow's face and traveled down her body. The dress clung in all the right places and ended just high enough to make him wonder just how far up those shapely legs went.

"It's definitely you," he told her.

She looked up at him in utter disbelief, "You think so? It's too much me!"

He smiled, "Well, it's more you than I've ever seen before."

Willow blushed crimson and turned away.

Angel chuckled and took her arm, "Come on. I'll walk in with you."

"I don't know," she said.

"You have to, Willow. You can't deprive all the men in there of a peek at that!"

She looked up at him, and he nodded reassuringly.

"Well," she hesitated.

"That's it. Come on," he put his arm around her waist and tugged open the door.

Willow's gaze settled on her friends in the far corner of the room.

"I can't go over there," she whispered.

"Yes, you can," Angel insisted.

"No! Not yet, please, Angel," her eyes pleaded with him.

"Okay," he nodded. "Not yet."

He began to lead her to the middle of the room.

"What are you doing?" she squealed softly as he turned her to him and put his arms around her.

"Dancing. With you," he grinned and he pulled her against him.

He caressed her bare shoulders as she trembled nervously. Angel brought her head against his chest and began to rock her gently, keeping rhythm with the music. She felt so small in his great arms. The offer to dance had been a friendly suggestion, but the feeling of her body near his, her firm breasts pressing against his chest, the warmth of her arms around his neck, was rapidly turning his thoughts in another direction.

Could she really be oblivious to her young beauty, he wondered. He was certain she had no idea what she was doing to the man who was holding her.

"Um, Buffy," Xander asked as his eyes scanned the dance floor and froze on the familiar couple. "Am I seeing what I think I'm seeing?"

"Angel and Willow?" Buffy said as she stared at he same vision, pushing back her chair and slowly standing up. "What the hell are they doing?"
