Their Destiny's -- by wensar1

Rated: PG

Description: The time of the eliminators has come!

Note: Willow and Oz broke up before Anne and Oz went to college. This takes place after Lover's Walk except Willow and Xander never cheated and Spike decided he didn't need Drusilla and would work for himself for a while. He's still in Sunnydale.

Disclaimer: I don't own anything except the plot and any new characters.

Spike had no idea where he was. He had wandered around without even thinking. It was late in the middle of the night. He was in some neighborhood in front of a house. The side gate to the backyard was open. He went through to the back and stayed in the shadows. Something was going to happen. He could feel it. Spike was becoming very curious.

Willow woke with a pain in her stomach. She got out of bed and stumbled into the hallway. She passed her parent's bedroom and remembered that they were on another business trip. Willow came down the stairs and went to the kitchen. She got out a glass and filled it with water. The pain was growing and she was getting dizzy. Willow took a quick sip of the water before opening the back door and stepping out for some fresh air. A sharp pain shoots through her stomach and spreads throughout her body. She lets out a cry of pain as she drops the glass next to her before falling to her hands and knees on the brick patio. The glass lay shattered beside Willow.

Spike had seen Willow's fall and darted out of the shadows over to her. He gently stood her trembling body up and hugged her to him as he rubbed her back soothingly. She clung to him and then suddenly her upper body fell back, hanging as Spike held her waist to keep her from falling. A beam of green light shot from the sky into Willow's open mouth and sent tendrils of green electricity snaking around her form. Some of the tendrils wrapped around Spike and Willow sending a green electrical current through their bodies. Then the green electricity retreated back into the beam of light as it returned to the sky, leaving Spike and Willow seemingly undisturbed.

Willow now lay unconcious in Spike's arms. He slid one arm up to support her back while the other arm swept up her bare legs. They were smooth and soft. Spike smiled. He looked at the open door and thought for a moment before smiling again. Spike gently shook Willow. " Thank you." He said it just loud enough for her unconcious state to barely comprehend.

"You're welcome." Willow mumbled her reply. Spike's grin broadened. His plan had worked. He carried Willow over the threshold and shut the door behind him.

Spike carried Willow up the stairs and peeked in each room until he reached one that looked like Willow's. The computer and stuffed animals gave it away. He laid her gently down on her bed. Spike grabbed a quilt and sprawled it across Willow's form. He set a glass of water, bottle of aspirin, and a note(after some searching through drawers) on the night stand by her bedside. The note read:

Little Red Riding Hood,

Green lightning!

That was just...Neat!

Feel better.

Till next time,

(it's signed with a little picture of a railroad spike)

Spike left for his place before the sun stole the night away.

Spike opened the door to his apartment and entered. Setting his duster aside, he made his way for the bed. He laid back and jumped as a white hot pain claimed his right shoulder blade. He peeled off his shirt and felt the area causing discomfort. What he felt surprised him. It seemed to be a marking embossed into his skin. He would have to find out about it later. But for now, sleeping on his stomach would have to suffice.

Willow woke to a searing pain in her right shoulder blade. She looked over and saw a note, remembering the events of the night before. She chuckled as she read the note signed with a cute little picture of a railroad spike. Willow wondered curiously as to why Spike was being so thoughtful and not just draining her dryer than the Saharra. She washed the aspirin down with the provided water. Last night was freaky. Green lightning?! Willow decided to get dressed and go to the library to ask Giles what was going on.
